Artificial intelligence is redefining training processes in sports. Having valid and reliable instruments to assess professionals’ perceptions of this technology is essential for its integration. Objective: To evaluate the psychometric properties of the artificial intelligence perception scale in sports science through its translation, cultural adaptation into Spanish, and validation in sports science professionals. Methods: A cross-sectional, instrumental study developed in four phases: translation, linguistic adaptation, cognitive evaluation, and psychometric analysis. Content validity was estimated using Aiken’s V coefficient with the participation of 16 experts. Psychometric evaluation was conducted with 391 professionals using Cronbach’s α and exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. Results: The scale showed adequate content validity (Aiken’s V = 0.88) and moderate internal consistency (α = 0.626). The bifactorial structure presented limited fit indices. Conclusions: The Spanish version of the SHAIP scale presents acceptable psychometric properties for exploratory use in sports sciences.
