Künstliche Intelligenz in Bibliotheken – anwenden und gestalten

Abstract In this article, we examine the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of information institutions such as libraries. AI offers opportunities for automating processes and improving and personalising services for users. In addition, the article emphasises the need for a critical examination of challenges such as data quality, ethical aspects and ensuring transparency. Libraries should not only use AI, but also actively help shape it and build expertise in this area in order to act as trustworthy information providers in the digital age.
