Accounting software has become an important component of contemporary financial management, helping organizations efficiently monitor revenues, expenditures, and overall financial performance. These digital systems simplify accounting activities by automating functions such as invoicing, payroll processing, transaction recording, and financial reporting, thereby reducing human effort and the likelihood of errors. Different software packages serve different organizational requirements, ranging from user-friendly solutions for small businesses to advanced platforms designed for large enterprises with extensive reporting, analytical, and compliance needs. Cloud-based accounting systems further enhance flexibility by allowing financial information to be accessed remotely. Integration with other business applications also facilitates smooth data exchange and improves operational efficiency. As organizations increasingly depend on data-driven decisions, reliable accounting software has become an essential element of effective business management.Researching accounting software is important for identifying solutions that provide greater accuracy, efficiency, usability, affordability, and integration. Such evaluation assists organizations in selecting systems that support financial reporting, regulatory compliance, cost control, and long-term growth. The Complex Proportionality Assessment (COPRAS) method provides a systematic multi-criteria decision-making framework for comparing alternatives according to multiple evaluation factors. It considers the relative importance and performance of different criteria to establish an overall ranking. In this study, QuickBooks Online, Xero, FreshBooks, Sage Intacct, Zoho Books, Wave Accounting, NetSuite, and Tally ERP 9 were assessed using Ease of Use, Features, Customer Support, Price (USD/month), and Setup Time (hours). The findings show that Wave Accounting achieved the highest rank, whereas Sage Intacct obtained the lowest rank.
