Abstract India's journey towards Viksit Bharat @2047 requires a transformation that combines technological advancement with inclusive and sustainable economic development. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) have emerged as two important pillars of this transformation. While DPI provides the digital foundations for identity, payments, data exchange, and access to public and private services, AI can add intelligence, automation, personalization, and predictive capabilities to these systems. Together, they can significantly improve governance, healthcare, education, agriculture, financial inclusion, digital commerce, and public service delivery. This paper examines the role of AI-enabled Digital Public Infrastructure in building a developed India by 2047. It explores opportunities, challenges, ethical considerations, and the need for responsible and inclusive AI adoption. The paper argues that India's competitive advantage will depend not merely on technological adoption but on developing trusted, accessible, secure, multilingual, and citizen-centric digital ecosystems. Strengthening digital skills, cybersecurity, data governance, research and innovation, and public-private partnerships will be essential for realizing this vision. AI combined with DPI can become a powerful foundation for inclusive prosperity, innovation, and sustainable development in Viksit Bharat.
