Virtual reality emotion training tool

The ERC starting grant project CoPAN (804582) is an innovative, interdisciplinary cross-boundary project. In the project, we study the function, underlying neurophysiological mechanisms, development and evolution of emotional expressions, which has shown us that emotions play a pivotal role in daily life in humans and great apes alike. We also show that emotional expressions in real life are more complex than the acted expressions used in emotion research or applications. I here propose to build on the fundamental knowledge and develop a virtual reality training tool targeting the broader public and clinical populations.
