This study explores the role of big data analytics in understanding social trends and human behavior through a computational and socio-technical perspective. Large-scale digital datasets, including social media posts, online interactions, and behavioral logs, were analyzed using machine learning algorithms such as sentiment analysis, clustering, classification, and association rule mining, alongside statistical techniques including frequency analysis, mean scores, and standard deviation calculations. The analysis revealed distinct patterns in user engagement, behavior, and participation, with highly active users shaping online trends and collective sentiments. Additionally, the study highlighted the socio-technical implications of big data, showing that algorithmic recommendations influence decision-making, while privacy concerns and trust in data-driven systems vary across users. The findings emphasize the importance of integrating computational techniques with ethical and social considerations to gain actionable insights into digital behaviors, improve decision-making processes, and ensure responsible data usage. Furthermore, the study demonstrates that predictive models and behavioral clustering can help organizations and policymakers anticipate emerging social trends, optimize digital engagement strategies, and address ethical challenges associated with large-scale data analysis. Overall, this research contributes to bridging the gap between computational analytics and social science, providing a framework for future interdisciplinary investigations in digital behavior analysis.
