The EUPHORIA project addresses the SESAR 2025 call HORIZON-SESAR-2025-DES-IR-02-WA4-2 by developing and validating four airport-focused solutions that strengthen operational efficiency, environmental sustainability, and passenger experience at European airports.

The first solution advances the concept of a Centralised Lite Airport Operations Centre (APOC) to provide collaborative management and performance monitoring across single or multiple regional airports, leveraging enhanced connectivity with the Network Manager and applying automation up to Level 4 within bounded scopes.

The second solution integrates the User-Driven Prioritisation Process (UDPP) concept into airport-driven local DCB, introducing a multi-criteria prioritisation engine that accounts for passenger connectivity, readiness, delay propagation, and special handling needs, thereby aligning local demand-capacity balancing with network-wide objectives.

The third solution develops an Environmental noise performance management framework, enabling airports to monitor and assess community impact through dynamic noise contour modelling.

The fourth solution introduces an air quality dispersion tool that combines modelling, measurement data, and machine learning to provide predictive assessments of pollutant concentrations, supporting proactive measures to mitigate local air quality impacts.

Collectively, these solutions are designed to reach TRL6 maturity, building on previous SESAR research while ensuring modularity, scalability, and regulatory alignment.

The consortium, composed of airports, airlines, air navigation service providers, technology firms, and advisory partners, will validate the solutions in operational contexts, ensuring transferability and readiness for integration into the future airport platform defined by the European ATM Master Plan.
