Artificial intelligence (AI) systems capable of natural language processing, such as ChatGPT, are becoming deeply integrated into everyday life. This chapter examines how such systems are transforming media and communication. Although the underlying infrastructure of large language models operates on principles fundamentally different from human cognition—relying on complex algorithms, vast datasets, and computational power—the interface creates a convincingly human-like experience. This seamless interaction bridges the gap between machine computation and human communication, blurring the boundaries between technological processes and social interaction. To understand the evolving dynamics between humans and increasingly sophisticated digital systems, it is essential to examine how AI is becoming embedded in communication. As AI systems continue to advance, any field involving communication becomes a potential target for automation, while media becomes more interactive, allowing technology not only to passively receive input but also to actively respond and adapt to users. This shift redefines the relationship between humans and technology as one that is increasingly communicative.
